Winning a Gold Medal at last year’s Pan Am Games, Amanda Chudobaobrigewitch, a National Team Member in Olympic Trap Shooting, will be in Smithers this weekend for the Pacific International Trap Shooting Association’s event in Bulkley Valley.

“I just had the Olympic trials in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil about two and a half weeks ago. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to keep the quota spot that I won,” says Amanda.”My next goal is the Commonwealth Games 2017.”

Tomorrow(Sat, May7)you can catch her at the Bulkley Valley Rod and Gun Club teaching juniors how to shoot trap.

Club President for the Bulkley Valley Rod and Gun Club asked Amanda to help teach the juniors.

“She’s a wonderful ambassador for women in sport,” says Brian Atherton. “We have shooters from across Northern BC for our big shoot.”

They’ll be shooting over 500 birds in two days for the competition.
