Secondary students will be taught life-saving skills this year.

The Advanced Coronary Treatment Foundation (ACT) will teach more than 150 Secondary School students emergency CPR and defibrillator starting in the Fall.

BC Paramedics will teach teachers the life-saving skills, who will then pass that on to the students.

ACT’s Executive Director Sandra Clarke says the goal of this program is very simple.

ACT is teaching these emergency services to schools throughout BC.

They’re working to make it a part of Provincial school curriculum in the future.
