A 13 year old temperature record was broken in Smithers on Tuesday.
According to Environment Canada, the thermometer read 25.8 degrees at its peak that day.
The previous daily record was set in 2013 at 25.2 degrees.
Environment Canada said the above seasonal temperatures across the province are being caused by a stationary ridge of high pressure.
Other communities breaking a record that day were Kitimat, Lytton, and Sandspit.
