Four Indigenous communities in the Prince George-Vanderhoof area have acquired the former Canfor Plateau Sawmill Property.
It’s part of a plan to develop the newly formed Ncha Koh Industrial Park which will include BC Hydro assuming a four-year lease for Phase one of the North Coast Transmission Line.

In addition, this industrial property can provide support to leases that require power, highway access, rail access, and diversified workforce in the region.

“This is a transformational moment for our Nation. By acquiring this strategic industrial asset, we are creating a platform for long-term economic growth, strengthening our self-determination, and ensuring that our Nation has av meaningful role in shaping the future of our regional economy.” – said Robert Mitchell, Stellat’en First Nation Chief.
