No injuries reported following logging truck crash west of Smithers

No injuries were reported following a crash about 8 kilometres west of Smithers that shut down Highway 16 Tuesday evening.

That’s according to the Smithers Fire Department, adding crews received a call just after 5:00 p.m.

The department added a logging truck was the long vehicle involved in the crash and power lines were impacted.

While the highway was shut down, traffic was not impacted as a detour was in effect via Nouch Frontage Road.

Also on scene were Smithers RCMP, B.C. Hydro, and B.C. Ambulance.
