Ravensbergen named WHL’s Goalie of the Year

One more accolade for the road.

The WHL has named Prince George Cougars goaltender Josh Ravensbergen as the recipient of the Del Wilson Memorial Trophy as the WHL’s Goaltender of the Year.

He is also the first Prince George Cougar to win the award.

In his third season with the Cats, Ravensbergen led the league in wins (32) and save percentage (.919), while ranking second in shutouts (4), fourth in goals-against average (2.51), and sixth in minutes played (2,680).

In his three seasons with the Cougars, Ravensbergen posted a 91-30-4-2 record, establishing the best winning percentage in franchise history.

His 91 wins rank third all-time among Cougars goaltenders, while his ten shutouts rank second.

In the post-season, the North Vancouver product recorded a 17-9-4 mark, setting a new franchise record for playoff victories.

Ravensbergen signed with the Cougars after going undrafted in the WHL Prospect Draft, and was later a first round pick of the San Jose Sharks in the 2025 NHL Draft.
