An account has been set up at the BV Credit Union to help out the owners of a recent house fire.
A blaze caused by a broken chimney pipe cost Donna and Lyle Herrington all their belongings, including their home.
The two made it out safely and are staying with family.
Neighbour Debby Meissner says those who want to help out can donate.
“Because they are in a temporary spot, things aren’t as important as being able to pay for medication and pay bills and those kinds of things.”
Debby says it’s important that everyone clean their chimneys this time of year.
