Northern Health is expanding on a HIV reduction program.
Medical staff in Vanderhoof, Fort St. James and Fraser Lake will all now be offering testing as part of regular patient care.
Regional Blood borne Pathogens Health and Systems Navigator Sam Milligan says they are offering HIV testing to adults once every five years.
Milligan says higher risk groups will be offered testing every year.
He says this way they can better treat more people for HIV.
