Hazelton substitute teacher disciplined

A substitute teacher in Hazelton has been disciplined for inappropriate comments.

According to a discipline decision by the BC Commissioner for Teacher Regulation the sub was working at the school in February 2013 when he used a racist comment to refer to an Asian student.

He then told the female students to go into the hall to attract the boys into class and used his personal cell phone to take photos of the students in class without their consent.

The teacher admitted that the misconduct happened and was suspended from the on call list for three months and ordered to complete a course on boundaries.
