Wet'suwet'en suspending Pacific Trail Pipeline talks

The Wet’suwet’en Hereditary Chiefs have suspended talks with Chevron and Apache Corporations regarding the proposed Pacific Trail Pipeline.
Natural Resource Manager, David deWit says they’ve stopped talking because of the environmental process that he calls flawed.
He says the province and the proponents were supposed to have handed over technical information by now.
“The Wet’suwet’en are very interested in creating a more transparent decision making process that relies on information to make informed decision so we aren’t compromising the values of future generations,” he says.
The Pacific Trail Project is a proposed 480 kilometre natural gas pipeline that would deliver gas from Summit Lake to Kitimat.
It would cross through Wet’suwet’en territory.
