Air Quality Advisory and Open Burning Restrictions end for some parts of the region

An Air Quality Advisory and Open Burning Restrictions have ended for Burns Lake and Houston.

Air Quality Meteorologist, Barry Watson says this the air quality is improving because of the recent precipitation and changing weather conditions.

However, he says a reduction in both outdoor burning and the use of wood burning stoves will keep contributing to cleaner air in Houston and Burns Lake.

The advisory for Smithers and Telkwa remains in effect.

People who are sensitive to poor air quality should remain indoors.
