A motorcyclist has suffered a significant injury to his left leg following a collision in Smithers.
Police say the incident happened Friday afternoon near Engman Rd on Highway 16.
RCMP say a Dodge Caravan passed unsafely at a high rate of speed and collided head on with the motorcyclist, who fortunately slowed.
Mounties say Motor Vehicle Act charges have been issued to the 65-year-old woman driver of the van.
Smithers RCMP are reminding the public to be aware of increased traffic during the summer.
