BV Kinsmen to expand park in Telkwa

Telkwa council has given the okay to the Bulkley Valley Kinsmen to expand a playground.
Kinsman Neil Bailey says they will go out and raise the needed funds so there is not cost to village taxpayers.
“There is an existing park at the BBQ Grounds, near the Senior’s Centre and we want to expand that,” he says. “We want to add some different sized boulders that kids can climb on and get some exercise. It is a growing activity that is becoming popular.”
Bailey hopes it can be completed within a year.
Once it is done, it will be handed over to the village but Bailey says there is a 15 year warranty on the equipment and everything will be maintenance free.
The BV Kinsmen are also working on doing similar projects in Smithers and Rough Acres.
