An event called Caroling and Caring is taking place in Smithers tomorrow.
Organizer Martin Hughes says everyone is welcome to join in for some singing at Bovill Square at 6 pm.
“We are going to be doing traditional Christmas Carols, and some children -oriented Christmas Carols,” he says. “We also have some performers and musicians coming too, so it should be a fun night. It’s designed for the whole community to sing along so we’ll have a projector screen with all the words on it.”
Hughes says the event also aims to raise money and gifts for the two organizations in town.
People are encouraged to bring warm clothing and sleeping bags for the Broadway Shelter and animal food and treats for the Northwest Animal Shelter.
