Via Rail trains delayed

A VIA Rail train from Prince George to Prince Rupert has been delayed.

The company says the westbound train that left yesterday is currently in Terrace and operating 12 hours late.

Operational issues and winter weather conditions are to blame.

As a result of this,  train number 6 travelling today to Prince George is expected to leave the Prince Rupert station sometime within the day, several hours late.
