It’s heritage week in B.C. and the Bulkley Valley Museum is celebrating Smithers’ history.
Historical researcher Joan Warmerdam says there will be an informative session tomorrow night.
“The Bulkley Valley Museum and Historical Society is sponsoring heritage night at the Old Church and there will be four speakers reviewing the history of Smithers,” she says.
Topics include the history of the library and Main Street along with stories about pioneers that helped shape the region.
The event starts at 7 pm and is free but donations to the museum will be accepted.
There will also be items from the gift shop for sale.
