The old hospital in Burns Lake will be demolished on Monday.
The new Lakes District Hospital and Health Centre opened about month ago.
Northern Health says the process of hazardous material remediation, decommissioning of equipment not transferred to the new facility, and disposal of other items inside the hospital has already happened.
The space, which is located right next door to the new place will be used for parking.
It is expected the new parking lot and landscaping work will be completed by late summer 2015.
