Bulkley Valley and Lakes residents have been enjoying spring-like weather for the past couple of weeks.
Meteorologist Jennifer Hay says while no records were broken, it was unseasonably warm for the month.
“The mean temperature overall for February is normally is -4.4, that’s a 30 year average for all of the February’s,” she says. “In 2015, it was 2.7 so almost two degrees warmer than the seasonal average.”
Hay says for the short term, there will be some cooler days with an arctic ridge pushing over the region.
However, she says in the long range, the temperatures should remain above normal.
