Campaign started for local paraplegic athlete

A Quick resident is hoping to raise some money to help him with his dreams of competing in a para-triathlon.
Jonathan Dieleman has set up a Go Fund Me campaign to help with the costs of travel and new equipment.
“The wheelchair that I am using is a racing wheelchair that I am renting and it isn’t the newest thing and it doesn’t fit me right,” he says. “What I am trying to raise money for is to get a new racing wheelchair, when you get one they custom make it for you for your size.”
Dieleman is currently training in Vancouver.
He is going to a swim meet in Toronto in a couple of weeks for selection trials for the Para Pan Am games but he also has his sights on competing in the para-triathlon qualifier as well.
