WorkBC’s Find your Fit is making a stop in its tour tomorrow at Smithers Secondary School.
This is for young people who aren’t sure what skills they will need for future workplaces.
Jobs Minister Shirley Bond says the event is interactive and will teach students about in demand careers, online resources for finding work and they can try some skills needed for different jobs.
“I’ve actually participated in the Find your Fit program a couple of times,” she says. “There are things that students can do with their hands, it is a very interesting and hands-on opportunity to get some information.”
Everyone is invited to attend tomorrow from 3-7 p.m. at the high school.
More than 20,000 students have taken part in the tour so far, most recently in Houston.
