Public comment opens for another LNG pipeline

The public comment period for the environmental assessment of Spectra Energy’s Westcoast Connector Gas Transmission Project will open next week.

The project proposes running a LNG pipeline from northeast B.C. to Ridley Island near Prince Rupert with a possible second pipeline to be constructed later.

The public comment period starts May 14th and runs until June 27th giving the public 45 days to comment on the project.

Information open houses will also be hosted across the North.

There will be one in Terrace on June 4th, in New Hazelton on June 5th, in Ft. St. James on June 9th and another in Smithers on June 16th.
