Telkwa Council will meet tonight for their regular bi-weekly meetings.
It’s a busy agenda this evening, one that is highlight by delegations from the Telkwa Community Initiative Society and revisiting the local contracting hiring policy.
Mayor Darcy Repen says that he wants the council to “be on the same page” in regards to fairness in hiring contractors.
“How we’re contracting out for work being done by the village and what kind of bang for the buck we’re expecting for the taxpayers in regards to utilizing local contractors versus other contractors.
The meeting is open to the public and begins at 7 in the council chamber.
