The Gitxsan nation of Hazelton have announced they will be hosting the Aboriginal Provincial Soccer Championships this summer.
The Aboriginal Sport, Recreation and Physical Activity Partners Council is inviting boys and girls from across BC in the open competition.
Organiser Christopher Daniels said that this competition holds true with the Council’s mandate of healthy living.
“It brings teams together and communities together and also allows kids to participate alongside their parents on the journey to Provincials,” he says.
The Tournament will have 5 divisions, which includes Under-16 and under-14 male and female, and an under-12 co-ed.
The tournament will take place between August 14th and 16th.
