Smithers will be hosting some elite young musical talents beginning Sunday.
Orchestra North will run their summer camp with upwards of 100 Provincial musicians.
Summer program co-director Roxi Dykstra says things have changed since she was growing up, which is why she got involved with the program.
“Reall the only place to connect with high-quality classical music was to go to the big cities. Now, as a professional, I’ve trained and come back and started teaching, realising there’s so much talent around here,” she says
The Orchestra will be collaborating at Northwest College in Smithers every day next week.
They will also be putting on performance all over town:
