Suspects remain at large in Fort Saint James shots fired investigation

Fort Saint James police are still on the lookout for the two suspects in a report of shots fired following an attempted theft of equipment on the North Road on Tuesday (Dec.7th).

The suspects shot multiple times at two logging trucks, and fled the scene with the guns.

Police later recovered the firearms, nobody was injured, and multiple RCMP detachments and specialized units responded to assist with the investigation, and no injuries have been reported.

The Ford F-35o that the suspects are alleged to have stolen was located abandoned.

“At the onset of this incident the RCMP have worked to ensure public safety remained paramount in our decision making and coordinated response and will continue to do so as the investigation unfolds,” said Supt. Brian Edmonds, ‘E’ Division North District Assistant District Officer.

We have dedicated significant local and district resources to this investigation in an effort to identify those persons responsible.”
