Smithers RCMP responded to 124 calls between August 27th and September 2nd.
In that time frame, Police received many reports of impaired driving and made at least 9 DUI arrests, 7 of whom received 90-day driving prohibitions.
RCMP remind residents that it is dangerous and illegal to drink and drive.
Police received a call on Monday, August 31st of a man reportedly yelling profanities throughout Hudson Bay Mountain.
Prince George Police Dog Services were called in to help search.
After 2 days, Police found the 59-year-old male. RCMP then discovered he had been living in the woods long enough to build a log cabin.
Police arrested under the Mental Health Act.
He was assessed at the BVDH before being released.
On Wednesday, September 2nd, Police received a report about potential harassment over texting and social media.
RCMP would like to remind residents that you can block unwanted users on most social media platforms.
A blocking feature is also available on most cell phones.
Police have since talked to the suspect and warned them about potential criminal charges.
