Smithers Secondary will be educating parents Thursday night when it hosts an annual event.
“Meet the Parents” night will give all of the adults the opportunity to become familiar with curriculums, class schedules, and rooms.
School Vice Principal Jaksun Grice says it’s a great way to show support for your child education.
“One of the things that determines a student’s success is that connection between school and home so I really feel the more the parents understand what’s going on in the classroom and developing that connection with each individual teacher will ultimately open those lines of communication,” he says.
The event will begin at 6:30 in the Della Herman Theatre.
