Bulkley Valley high school volleyball teams back home after competing at the provincials

Students from Bulkley Valley Christian and Houston Christian schools were in North Vancouver for the A Boys B.C. High School Volleyball Championship in North Vancouver.

Bulkley Valley Christian came 9th and Houston Christian 11th out of 16 teams.

First place went to Cedars Christian of Prince George who edged Unity Christian of Chilliwack in the final.

Meanwhile, the Smithers Secondary Gryphons were also on the road at the AA Boys Volleyball Championship in Langley.

They ended up in 16th place after dropping a 2-0 decision to Esquimalt.

South Kamloops took gold beating Abbotsford Christian in the final.

In other provincial volleyball tournaments involving northern B.C. schools;

PGSS ended up 15th at the AAA Boys in Victoria.

Duchess Park placed 6th, College Heights 8th & PGSS 13th at the AAA Girls in Dawson Creek.

Shasti Kelly Road finished 12th at the AA Girls in West Vancouver.

Cedars Christian was 13th and Mackenzie 16th at the A Girls in Castlegar.
