A motorcycle crash on Highway 16 at Tete Jaune Cache, near Valemount has claimed a life and injured another person.
According to the North District RCMP, the incident occurred just after 4pm yesterday (Sunday) near the scales and is being reported as a single-vehicle incident.
Cpl. Madonna Saunderson spoke with MyPGNow.com.
“One person was pronounced deceased at the scene while another was taken to hospital and is listed in critical condition. The investigation is ongoing and at this time, causal factors have yet to be determined and certainly anyone with information is asked to contact the Valemount RCMP.”
The crash closed the highway for several hours as investigators examined the scene.
