Highway 118 to see new Fulton River Bridge

Upgrades are on the way for Highway 118 and the Fulton River Hatchery south of Granisle.

The province announced today (Tuesday) the 58-year-old Fulton River bridge is being replaced with a new two span design.

Construction on a temporary route is expected to begin this summer and remain in place until 2026.

The new bridge will have a median separated sidewalk and dedicated pathway along a new route for the highway.

Along with highway improvements, the Fulton River Hatchery will see habitat enhancements from the new alignment.

Up to date delays and highway closures from the project can be found on Drive BC’s website.
