Houston’s snowmobiling trails are being ranked among the best on all of BC.
A poll called, “SledTown ShowDown” is currently deciding on Western-Canada’s best trails by pitting communities in each Province against one another.
Houston has already beaten out Golden and Radium Hot Springs and is now up against Sicamous in the semi-finals. The winner will face either Revelstoke or Valemount for BC’s best.
Houston Snowmobile Club Director Terry Close says there are two aspects that he loveS about the local trails.
“One, it’s always kept up and groomed and it’s on the mountain. The other one, you can go and spend the whole day and never hit the same trail twice,” he says.
The BC winner will go on to face the winners from Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.
