Houston is currently under an air quality advisory.
Collaboratively, both the Ministry of Environment and the Northern Health Authority made the announcement this morning.
Explained in a statement from the Provincial government, particles from wood smoke are currently lingering in the air, stuck beneath the current cold air.
Residents are advised to avoid any serious outdoor activities and to stay indoors for the time being.
This advisory will remain in effect until further notice.
