This past weekend’s warm weather has pushed back the ski hill’s seasonal opening until December.
Temperatures as high as 8 degrees Celsius caused a lot of melting on the mountain. With clear skies projected this week, there won’t be enough snow for safe usage on originally planned opening Friday.
Resource Service Manager Chrissy Chapman says the mountain should be good to open next weekend.
“We do see snow here quite a bit starting December 1st so we should be good as long as the weather forecast keeps what it says,” she says.
She adds everyone can help out at home.
“We need mother nature and everyone to do their snow dance.”
Opening day is now scheduled for Friday, December 4th.
