With the announcement of a federal approval of the Northern Gateway pipeline announced today anti-Enbridge rallies are popping up across B.C.
Forest Ethics Advocacy’s Nikki Skuce says a Smithers rally will be held at Bovill Square this evening.
She says the fight against the pipeline doesn’t end with this approval.
Premier Christy Clark has reiterated that Enbridge has not met the five conditions so we are going to continue to put pressure on Christy Clark to make sure that she stands strong against this pipeline. Forest Ethics Advocacy as well as some First Nations groups have launched legal reviews of the National Energy Board’s decision and will now add onto that the federal government’s approval.”
The Smithers anti-Enbridge rally starts at 5pm.
