Public Health in Smithers is finding a new way to prep kids for the next kindergarten season in the fall.
Thier starting a Health Fair Wednesday through Friday at the Smithers Public Health Unit.
“It’s an opportunity for parents to ask questions, for kids to get excited to go to school and to connect with parents about the importance of hearing and vision and those screenings that can help children reach their full potential when they enter the school system,” explains Public Health Nurse Taryn Opel.
She says kids will alternate from station to station at the fair getting screened for eye, vision and hearing health. Immunizations will also be available.
