The Trade expo over the weekend in Smithers was a second year of success for the Bulkley Valley Exhibition.
General Manager for the Bulkley Valley Exhibition Jen McClary credits their win to their interactive display for kids, and their presence in the community as a unique exhibition.
“The idea with the interaction with the kids comes from terry and Ruth, the girls that work at the office with me,” says McClary. “I think we’ve gone through 250 balloons for the kids. So it’s been good.”
The Bulkey Valley exhibition is looking forward to a centennial in a few years.
Almost two thousand people made it out to the Trade Expo over the weekend.
“I think anytime you bring a local event into town it helps the economy,” says Chamber of Commerce Manager Heather Gallagher. “There’s 70 exhibitors, so that has a big impact.”
