Enbridge is looking for a three-year extension to start building a pipeline that would ship oil across Northwestern BC.
Public feedback will play a factor in the NEB’s decision to approve it, explains Sarah Kiley with the NEB.
“The public is very important to this particular decision. But the panel will have a number of different considerations before them, and it’s really up to them as to how much weight to give to give to a particular situation.”
Northern Gateway has the opportunity to reply to the public’s comments. The NEB expects that done by mid-July.
The NEB is collecting public feedback until Monday, June 27th.
