Category two fire bans lifted in the Northwest Fire Centre

As of noon today (Tuesday), the category two fire ban across the Northwest Fire Centre was lifted.

In most of the fire centre, category three fire bans were also lifted except for the Nadina and Bulkley fire zones.

Those prohibitions are expected to remain in effect until October 17th.

Category three fires include one or more burns exceeding two metres in height and three metres in width.

Anyone found breaking the fire ban could be given a ticket for $1,150 and required to pay a $10,000 administrative penalty.
