It’s shaping up to be business as usual for Smithers Mayor Taylor Bachrach and Council, as they host their bi-weekly meeting this evening (July 24th).

As always, things will begin over at Town Hall at 6:30.

If you’re missing out on the Art Gallery, Library, and Veterans Park Open House tomorrow (July 25th), tonight’s meeting with Council will provide you with almost the same presentation.

Urban Arts Architecture will present an update on their Concept Design and Business Case.

The Lake Kathlyn Protection Society will also speak to Council regarding environmental conservation.

Elsewhere on the schedule, Councilor Bill Goodacre is slated to give the visitor numbers in Smithers for the first half of 2018.

A couple of By-Laws will be discussed tonight as well.

The first will be the final adoption of the Downtown Revitalization Tax Exemption By-Law (1837). There will also be the first, second, and third readings of the Sign By-Law (1841).

For those who cannot attend, Mayor Bachrach will have the meeting posted on Facebook Live.
