Smithers resident wins $200,000 on Scratch & Win ticket

A new car is in sight for a Smithers resident after she realized she won $200,000 from a Scratch & Win ticket.

The B.C. Lottery Corporation said Wendy L. purchased the $10 Holiday Cash from Red Apple in Smithers and took home the game’s top prize.

After finding the ticket in her pocket, Wendy scanned it using the BCLC Lotto! app.

“I called my daughter to show her and she was confused why I was calling her to the bathroom,” Wendy said.

Wendy also called the win “exciting and shocking.”
