Vintage Car Show for Cancer Research Saturday

Safeway will be showing off some vintage vehicles while spreading awareness of a deadly disease this weekend.

The first annual Vintage Car Show will take place in the grocery store’s parking lot at noon on Saturday. It will be an opportunity for residents to show off their trucks, cars, and motorcycles while learning about prostate cancer.

Manager Floyd Krishan says he loves classic vehicles but recognizes this event is about something bigger.

“To raise a lot of awareness for prostate cancer and prostate cancer research. Our goal is to spread the word in hopes of getting more people out there to go get tested,” he says.

Anyone who would like to register their classic car, motorcycle, or truck can go into Safeway to sign up.
