Northern Health is asking the public to help design its new mascot.
Northern Health’s, Jonathon Dyck says the mascot contest is a unique strategy for helping spread the word on the importance of a healthy lifestyle to northern residents.
“So what we are looking to do is have B.C. residents enter an idea for a mascot that will represent all people living in northern B.C, represent healthy living and is creative and fun.”
Residents are asked to submit a drawing and story about their mascot which should represent healthy living such as healthy eating, active lifestyle, injury prevention and tobacco reduction.
The winning mascot will be chosen in July and the winner will be a torchbearer in the 2015 Canada Winter Games torch relay.
