ACT brings families together for Mother’s Day

Houston A.C.T. is creating ways for you to spend quality time with your mother.
The committee is holding it’s 2nd annual “Mother’s Day Walk / Run” this weekend.
Participants and their families can choose their own pace on the 5 or 10 km rendezvous through town, and will receive food, water, and flowers.
Houston A.C.T. member Sue Jones says physical exercise is a great way to spend Mother’s day.
“We want to get families active together. It’s a great way to celebrate being a Mum. No sweat, no pressure, we just want to get people active and moving in our community and it’s really neat to see everyone out practicing,” she says.
There is no entrance fee but there is an option to make a donation to Northern Society of Domestic Peace.
The event registration opens at 12:30 at the Houston Leisure Facility Parking lot. The walk / run will begin at 1.
