Burns Lake missing boater found

The RCMP underwater recovery team has located the body of a young man who went missing near Burns Lake last week.

Last Tuesday, 17-year-old Bryce Gray had gone fishing fifteen minutes south of Bruns Lake along Highway 35.

His empty board washed ashore Wednesday morning. The motor was also missing.

Officials recovered his body on Sunday afternoon from a depth of 55 feet.

Staff Sargeant Grant MacDonald says the RCMP located the body on Sunday afternoon and confirmed the incident as an accidental drowning.

Officials say wind and boating without a life jacket may have contributed to his death.
