Students headed to Beijing’s Cultural Camp

Four students and a teacher from Nechako Lakes District will be heading out on an unforgettable adventure this summer.

What is becoming a tradition, District 91 is sending students to Beijing to participate in a ten-day Cultural Camp to learn Chinese language, culture, and landmarks.

The group will be taking off July 13th, and organizer Manu Madhok knows this is more than a quick vacation.

“The world is becoming much smaller so the connections you make now might. serve you for a lifetime. Getting to make friends that both live in China and other countries, that’s just an important part of being a student these days,” he says.

The students are 4 of 40 from BC headed to Beijing. Once they arrive, they’ll meet the nearly 1000 others students from 20 countries also participating.
